Designers Galore!

Hello My lovelies! I’m beyond happy to be writing this post because this is my first collaboration!! I was invited out last Sunday to write a piece on Sip. Shop. Eat! If you haven’t heard of this event and you are a small apparel/jewelry line, then you’re missing out. SSE is a monthly market that showcases local designers. It was started by Taylar Hagan and her husband who had their own line (Bela Noelle) and felt that they weren’t getting enough from the markets they attended. SSE was created with the intention of building small brands up while giving them a place to meet other up and coming designers as well possible clients and industry insiders. For more information on Taylar and upcoming dated on Sip. Shop. Eat follow the links here and here

I will be splitting this up into two part as to keep from becoming too long on one post. I didn’t get a chance to speak with everyone, as I needed to head out. But I encourage you to stop by their next even to see all the amazing designers for yourself. Now let's jump right in!

The first line I met with was Jorae Go. This jewelry line was started by Jodi and Rachel (do you see what they did with their cute name?) and every one of their pieces are handmade. You know those stories of the girl who walks into the room only to find another girl is wearing the same thing? Yeah, that won’t be you with this line because no two pieces are the same! This Jamaican brand is full of island inspirations and stunning jewelry! They are coming out with a new lines based on the four elements so stay tuned for that.

Millennial GRL is your ecofriendly alternative to Forever21! This line was so fresh and so cute. I could picture myself in everything I saw on the rack. The line was created by Roanna Devilla (in the middle) only a month ago. She created her brand to focus more on her creative side and pursue one of her passions. Can totally relate! This line is 50/50 made from the designers hand and brought from sustainable vendors.

Hooks and Lux is a beautiful minimalist jewelry line founded by Ryoko Kitazawa. Like a lot of the lines at the market, every piece is handmade locally. Ryoko quit her job last year to focus on her craft full time. Everything is made out of sterling silver and goldfield and when I tell you these pieces are simple and chic! Well just check out the photos above and tell me if I’m lying.

BKMC is such a gorgeous line! The owners name is Dana Boisson who has been in business for three years, and she makes some of the prettiest hats I’ve ever seen. Each hat is made of rabbit and beaver fur so you know you are getting top quality products. Dana’s attention to detail shines through in every piece she creates and BKMC also provides custom made hats as well as wedding veils.
